Real Simple ran this idea in their July 2009 issue. Use photo corners to attach the card to your gift. Real simple, indeed!

If you have an especially cool-looking card, you could even leave off the envelope and attach it to the present as its main decoration. You could also do this with the gift tag (which could just be a rectangle of paper, as pictured).
