Christmas Gift Wrapping 2010 | Gift Wrap Story

This Wrap Story is part of a series documenting every present I’ve wrapped since the launch of The Gifted Blog. Click here for the whole series!

Yes - Christmas is behind us. But in my quest to scrupulously document each gift I wrap for you, here is a quick recap of my Christmas gift wrapping.

For my nephew and niece, a cute little onsie courtesy of and one of N's favorite has a dizzying array of customizable shirt designs, but, in a state of pre-holiday frazzle, I just chose a readymade design I liked.

These were wrapped with a roll of gift wrap left for me when our neighbors moved to Ann Arbor, some tissue paper repurposed from some gifts we just opened from G's parents, and recycled sari ribbon.

Next up, a batch of rosemary maple-glazed nuts! Thanks to Food in Jars for the recipe, and Giver's Log for the tip. Next time, though, I'm using parchment paper as directed! Less sticky glaze on the pan, and more on the nuts.

These went to our small group leader's family in a jar tied with more sari ribbon and a homemade gift tag.

Last but not least, some sets of chai tea and chai tea soaps! My blog friend Luci started her own bath and body business last year and I am so proud of her. (Can I make a plug for her solid shampoo? Seriously amazing.) I put these sets together for a couple of chai-loving friends.

These went straight into the gift bags I made back when dreamed about starting my own line of handmade gift wrap. Never got around to that; liked blogging about gift wrapping ideas much better!

So, I've done my duty for my Christmas gift wrapping! I'm realizing it's actually not my favorite time to gift wrap - I like time to mull over each present, which the holiday rush does not allow for! I'll be back with a new Wrap Story soon.

  1. I love, love, love the sari ribbons, especially on the kraft papers. Such a unique look.

And then I saw my soap! Thanks for the plug :-)

  2. @DuhBe - Yes! The ribbon has a deconstructed, bohemian feel. I can see why you like it. : )

You're very welcome for the plug! Only sorry I wasn't able to post it before Christmas. My sister likes the shampoo and conditioner we gave her so much that she asked for your site! Hope word is continuing to spread about your business.
