Fabric Scrap Ribbon | 5 Minute Upgrade

This series was born when a friend requested quick ways to make a gift look nice before running out the door. Find more fast gift wrapping ideas here

Out of ribbon, or simply want to add a unique touch to your gift using what you have on hand? Try a no-sew fabric scrap ribbon! Simply cut strips of cloth and use as you would ribbon. Not long enough? Tie strips together!
G and I celebrate our birthdays within a week of each other. One very thoughtful friend, B, brought some fancy chocolates to G's ice cream sundae party and wrapped them like this! Thanks for making it a bloggable opportunity, B! We are blessed to be your friend.

  1. great idea, and if you happen to have pinking shears (I don't...) you could use those to cut the strips as well.

  2. Aw... You make me a better gift-wrapper!

  3. @Michele Pacey - Thanks for the variation suggestion! I was also lying in bed thinking that you could tear strips of fabric for cool frayed edges. : )

@Betsy - You're so sweet. Thanks again for celebrating with us - we loved having you.

  4. Really great idea. Pinning it right now...
