See Who's Pinning You on Pinterest

I've been mulling over some blogging tips that I'm excited to share with you. It's not my usual gift wrapping fare, but I personally get excited when my favorite bloggers let me in behind the scenes. Here we go!

Are you being pinned? Pinterest has become a super popular way to visually browse for inspiration and catalog eye-catching images online. But is anyone pinning YOUR ideas?

To check, type the following address into your browser:
http://pinterest.com/source/YourURLHere/

For example, to check on the pins from my blog, I visit:
http://pinterest.com/source/thegiftedblog.com/

(Omit the "http://" and "www" - it won't work with those preceding your web address.)

Kinda cool, right? It doesn't show me precise data for number-crunching, but at a glance I can see what I've blogged about that others have found pin-worthy. If you try this for the first time - let me know what you think! Did you learn anything new about your blog?

  1. Brilliant, thanks for this. I love Pinterest and use it to keep track of all those tutorials/ideas I find online and which I'd like to try someday. Something funny happened the other day I found something on Pinterest that remineded of something I'd made and it turns out it was actually my own tutorial, I guess I just wasn't expecting others to find it Pin worthy.

  2. I was just doing this yesterday :) I like to take a look every now and then to see what images of mine are getting pinned. As you say, it's useful to see what other people are interested in. Helps me think of what types of blog posts I should do more of.
