Sustainable Gift Wrapping from Bangkok

My husband forwarded this to me - beautiful packaging of soaps and scent balms done by the Bangkok guesthouse we stayed in last fall. They used bamboo to create the ribbons and decorative knots that hold the two products together. Sustainable and lovely.

I've written about traditional Japanese gift wrapping before in my posts about How to Wrap 5 More Eggs. Many of the practices detailed in the book are no longer in use today, and it's wonderful to see a contemporary example of natural, local materials being used in creative gift wrapping.
