3 Ideas for Giving Baked Goodies

I don't know about where you live, but after an intense heat wave in Southern California the weather has finally become more autumnal. After weeks of trying to avoid heating up the house, I'm happy to be able to use the oven! We've made cornbread and banana bread, and I'd like to learn how to make pizza dough soon.

When the folks at reached out to partner with me, I thought it would be fun to highlight 3 ways to prepare baked goodies as gifts. (BakingMad is a British site - so don't worry, they're crazy about baking, not baking while angry!) If you're a visual learner interested in how to make pancakeshow to make cupcakes, or learning other baking basics, you may find their how-to videos useful. And now, without further ado, 3 ideas for giving baked goodies!

1) DIY rectangular baking cups
Use this simple technique and avoid awkwardly squishing brownies and bars into round cupcake liners.
Suggested pairing: Chocolate Chili Brownies

2) Parchment paper muffin liners
Ooh la la! Fancy up a basic muffin with these rustic parchment paper liners.
Suggested pairing: Cheese, Tomato and Courgette (Zucchini) Muffins

3) Candles and flowers
This looks do-able even for a novice like me! Rachel from Heart of Light selects pretty candles and matching flowers for an easy but elegant way to decorate a birthday cake.
Suggested pairing: Celebration Chocolate Cake

Something home-baked is a beautiful gift in and of itself. Gift wrapping is not always necessary (in fact, sometimes a post-it is all you need), but I hope these ideas inspire you for when you want to step things up a notch! Which would you try?
