DIY Geometric Gift Wrap | Tutorial

Make your own eye-catching gift wrap with the simplest of materials. For this tutorial I was inspired by a slightly crumpled piece of brown paper that was packed with an online purchase.

- Kraft paper
- Acrylic paint
- Eraser
- Sponge brush

Use the sponge brush to apply a thin coat of paint onto the side of the eraser, then stamp in a pattern that suits you. I re-applied paint every few stamps to get some variation in the saturation of the pattern.

Use the edge of the eraser to stamp lines and 'x's. For these I dipped directly into the paint.

I had fun trying out different designs on one sheet of wrapping paper and was able to get a few different gift wrapping ideas out of it!

This was a very relaxing and easy project, and I loved that I got three coordinating looks to play around with.

  1. I use this paper all the time, but never thought of decorating it so beautifully! I go with the raggedy-ness, and use Christmas-themed postage rubber stamps to make it look like a parcel from the North Pole, but yours is soooo much more elegant.

  2. I found my wrapping for Christmas. I also found gift bags ……simply special!

    Thank you,
