Find What You've Already Got

Hope you've had a very merry Christmas! Just wanted to show off my friend Sarah's ingenious gift wrapping for her neighborhood cookie swap. We'd talked beforehand about using poly bags like these or washi tape like this, neither of which she had on hand.

Look what she came up with! She found several boxes in her tea stash that were nearly empty and used them as gift boxes for her Christmas cookies. So much more personal than our original brainstorm.

Note to self: tell people to look for what they've already got. Sometimes the best gift wrapping ideas start with what you already have.

  1. Those doggone Celestial Seasonings Holiday tea boxes are so cute it's impossible to toss them...what a great way to repurpose them!

I find Pringles cans to be endlessly useful as well, and I always keep a few clean ones around for emergency packaging. I'm a papercrafter, so I always have plenty of 12x12 scrapbook paper on hand to wrap around them.
